Arrival:  Morning carline is from 8:50-9:05.  If you miss carline, you must sign your child in at the main office and walk them to the classroom.

Dismissal:  Afternoon dismissal is at 3:15.  If you use carline, please do not enter the building to sign-out your child.  Please remain in your car, in line with your ID tag in the front, right window.  We ask that if you need to dismiss your child early that you do so by 3:00pm.  All children must bring in a written note to be dismissed early.  Emails and phone calls are not accepted except in the case of extreme emergency.  Only those on your emergency list will be allowed to pick-up your child from school.

Absent:  If your child will be absent, please call the school by 9:15.  555-5555School

Lunch is $1.50 and includes milk.  Individual milk is $.40.  Students should bring in a snack and beverage each day.  We do have cups if they would like tap water.

Recess:  We go outside twice each day weather permitting.  If the temperature is above 30 degrees and it is not raining or snowing excessively, we will go outside.  Please dress your child appropriately.  During winter months, children will not be allowed to play in the snow during recess unless they have snow pants, boots and gloves/mittens.  If they do not have snow pants, boots and gloves/mittens, they will be able to play on the blacktop only.

Birthdays:  You may send in a healthy treat to share with the class but this is not required.  Please check the district website for the wellness policy.  We have 20 students in our room. 

Literacy Bags:  Occasionally your child will bring home a tote bag that may contain books/activities, an assignment or a classroom book.  Inside the bags, you will find instructions.  Please remember to return the bag promptly as another child will be waiting for its turn to bring the bag home.

Rest time:  Full day kindergarten students have a 20-minute rest time each day.  Please send in a small blanket or beach towel for them to use on their mat.  They may bring in a small stuffed animal (Beanie Baby size is good).  Children do not have to sleep but are expected to have a quiet time.  They are allowed to borrow books from our library.  Each child has his/her own mat and towels/blankets are sent home on Fridays to be cleaned.
